Objective:

Provide the faith and church community with resources to build awareness, momentum for the theatrical release along with discussion and teaching around the film that would broaden its market appeal.

Result:

During the one year long pre-promotional campaign, Motive Entertainment partnered with Crosssection for broad based graphic design, creation of faith based print and digital resources, web site development, custom packaging, event materials fulfillment and customer service. It is estimated that more than 30,000 churches were reached with the ability to access this customized media to strategically engage their congregation. At the core was the development of 12 spiritual themes from the movie that faith leaders could use as teaching narratives. With resource videos, event kits and sermon downloads, Ben-Hur 2016 was a stand-out film within the faith community.

Factoid:

Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ is a novel originally published on November 12, 1880, and is considered one of “the most influential Christian books of the nineteenth century.”
