The Chronicles of Narnia
Objective:
To leverage the millions of readers within the faith and church market that have read and embraced the Narnia franchise written by acclaimed author C.S. Lewis in 1950 in order to build momentum for the highly anticipated box office release of The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Result:
The Narnia book franchise is one of the most successful series of all time. Motive Entertainment partnered with Crosssection for graphic design, creation of faith based print and digital resources, web site development, custom packaging, fulfillment and customer service. Through this partnership we developed a multi-faceted faith based marketing campaign for the film. Thousands of churches participated in the campaign with printed and downloadable resources designed to spark spiritual discussions and propelled the film into a significant box office and DVD success. Crosssection handled all of the design, event resource creation, and discussion curriculum creation to help churches drive people to the theaters and then back to their local church for a deeper review and experience. The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe has reported box office sales of $744 million.
